think about this, Henri -
could it be that the car performed better with that gap because the factory timing is over advanced, and the larger gap retarded that?
further, the larger gap burned the delivered fuel more completely, getting as much power out of it as possible?
I contend that the groove mixes the air and fuel better for a more even air-fuel charge; a big spark at just the right time can make for huge power and efficiency...and manufacturers and big oil don't want that for us because they don't make any money from it in the long term. (cars would last a LOT longer and use MUCH less fuel over that time)

do they recommend any specific filter to go with their oil? and is it recommended that I flush my oiling system prior to filling with their product? Do they have a North American distributor I can speak with?

Hi Greg

Could be, but to me its mostly due to the huge gap of temperature
of 20°C between the runs. the air being denser its increase oxygen.
It's also early week of the ECU so it's still fine setting the fuel injection.

We here in Geneva had cold temperature since monday and no surprise
the car is more reactive. The point you are making about big OIL totally
make sense for me. Its all about money.

Yes indeed, the cooler, denser air does cause an ECU to lengthen injector pulse duration because of what the o2 sensor is telling it.
An EFIE in the circuit can correct that to a large degree, and if your car is equipped with a MAP sensor, you can put an enhancer there as well to take a bit more authority over the injectors.
these modifications are akin to re-jetting a carb (and fine tuning the timing), but it has been some time since most people have had the inclination to get their hands dirty.
The small cost in parts and labour to bring these adjustments into the cabin makes for more fuel sales and more car/repair sales too.

I've just now noticed that your car is an automatic - can that sexy oil be used in the transmission as well?
