Far be it from me to TELL you how I think you should or shouldn't live your life...I just had a wee bit of a helmet fire seeing a very nice video (steady, clear, close up, well lit) with nothing but ambient sound/background noise. (I work in Media production, Video post production specifically - audio for video is what I "do.")
To me, if you're using YouTube to document your work in the hopes of spreading it and getting more, a video like that to someone who isn't aware of what it's about gets nexted pretty quickly. we can praise your good work here, but the circle is small; YouTube is an opportunity to widen it, so why not use it as intended? Spread the good WORD.
You don't make the world a better place by doing things the way they've always been done (that's why I think you might be here, right?) and keeping your opinions/evidence to yourself. That's my challenge to you moving forward, to gently, kindly and with confidence and enthusiasm talk about what you're doing to make this world better when an opportunity presents itself. Please take every opportunity that does, because they surely don't come as often as you hope they do, and it's often difficult to make them yourself. Change becomes less scary for others to make when you can show them that you made it yourself, and how life has gotten better for you. (that's how I think internet/social media should be leveraged.)
