This was my first electronic throttle body mod. As always, we do a pre~mod mileage run with my tourque app, and this gas~sucking hunk of metal was getting a whopping 10mpg after a 10 minute city and 10 minute hwy drive. After the mod, a 2minute idle was all the groove needed to eliminate its emissions, leaving a fresh air scent out the tailpipe. The power increase was incredible even while being choked out by small diameter exhaust pipes, restrictive y~pipe, 2 catalytic converters, and 3 mufflers. I got a text from my brother~in~law a few weeks later telling me the mileage had increased on his dash to over 15mpg CITY! "you rock man!" he added. This technology pays off guys

Why didn't you have anything to say in the video? on YouTube especially, with the potential of each uploader's videos to be seen by billions of people globally, I can't understand why anyone with bits wouldn't promote the benefits of getting grooved and explain how simple and effective the process is. It doesn't matter what language/dialect, as long as you talk about cleaning the air, saving money on fuel, you'll attract attention...especially if the video is as crisp and well-lit as that one.

Far be it from me to TELL you how I think you should or shouldn't live your life...I just had a wee bit of a helmet fire seeing a very nice video (steady, clear, close up, well lit) with nothing but ambient sound/background noise. (I work in Media production, Video post production specifically - audio for video is what I "do.")
To me, if you're using YouTube to document your work in the hopes of spreading it and getting more, a video like that to someone who isn't aware of what it's about gets nexted pretty quickly. we can praise your good work here, but the circle is small; YouTube is an opportunity to widen it, so why not use it as intended? Spread the good WORD. ;) You don't make the world a better place by doing things the way they've always been done (that's why I think you might be here, right?) and keeping your opinions/evidence to yourself. That's my challenge to you moving forward, to gently, kindly and with confidence and enthusiasm talk about what you're doing to make this world better when an opportunity presents itself. Please take every opportunity that does, because they surely don't come as often as you hope they do, and it's often difficult to make them yourself. Change becomes less scary for others to make when you can show them that you made it yourself, and how life has gotten better for you. (that's how I think internet/social media should be leveraged.)

I agree. Ill be working towards better informational videos. Thanks Greg.
I've attached a couple pictures here to show that these engines have a plug style pcv valve. So no tube running to intake manifold. When i saw this, i wanted to do it right so I called Ron, and described it to him. Since it is all one piece he advised me to simply take it out, clean it well, and put jb-quick into the valve then re-install it. The pcv valve was on the back left area of intake manifold near firewall, which is accessible after removing the air intake tube/resonator.

Hi Michael,
I am a bit slow and complicated in understanding some things.
My question: Assuming the Valve is opening and closing at certain pressure conditions?, putting jb-quick into the valve will stop the valve of working? The valve position will be set closed or open with the jb-quick?
Please correct me if I am wrong here.
Thanks
Kim

Hi Kim great to see you here!

No problem i am too until i gain knowledge about something! I hope i can help.

When the valve's air path is plugged with jb quick, it cannot open/close. In the picture of the valve, you can see jb-quick at the bottom, and also some in the smaller hole near my hand. I wasnt sure how this style pcv operated, so i plugged both to be sure.

You did well, Michael. In this case, and every case, all that's needed is to stop the flow.

You just made DOUBLE sure!!!
