TOPIC: 2004 F150 5.4L Groove

Just grooved my 2004 F150 FX4 5.4L going to see how it does I went around the block and could tell a big difference in the throttle response Has anyone messed with a newer 5.4L and is there anything else i can do?

you can plug vaccumm to pcv and reroute iac can be slowed down on amount of air

thanks for the reply I did plug the vacuum port for the PCV and can you explain the rerouting and vacuum restrictions for the iac thanks again

Hi Jimmy good for you!

PCV--cap off the port to intake manifold. Re-connect the open end of PCV hose tee it into the breather hose that goes to intake air duct.

IAC typically a piece of metal flashing is installed under IAC valve w/ 1/8" hole for air flow.

reset computer, and do the cold starts and all that that is disribed in the public documents section, Want the computer to adjust to the groove quickley.
