TOPIC: '08 Ford F150 4.6L TB Grooved

So here is a Ford 4.6L throttle body, Grooved for a GadgetmanGroove website customer. This is for an '08 F-150 owned by a guy named Gary.
We have no feedback on this one yet, it just went out to Gary yesterday. But I'm sure he will be a happy camper, Ford's always love the Groove!

I did a hybrid Groove on this one, due to varying bore wall thickness. A Medium bit for the edges toward the axle shaft, and a Large in the crucial center. Even with the Medium bit, it began to break through so I JB epoxied outside of these areas. Overall it is a bit choppy, harkening to my Caveman Grooves I did on a friend's Nissan Maxima 8 years ago. But no worries- THAT Groove job was a real success, like this one will be!

I wonder when Ford went from old-school cabled TBs to fly by wire? I've done the cabled version for a friend. The truck rusted apart, unfortunately...

I think about 2003-2004, I'm not sure. I think most Mfg's went to drive by wire between 2003-2006.

A few days ago I got feedback from Gary,.the owner of this Ford F-150 4.6L V8. He said that "after 150 miles, power and torque increased , MPG went up noticeably and the exhaust smell is GONE!

So Gary is another happy Gadgetman Groove customer.
I LOVE to Groove Ford's, I ALWAYS get great results with Ford's!!
