Hello again,
I grooved this vectra about 3 weeks ago. The owners really pleased with it, as soon as we went out for the test drive his words were "My car feels 10 years newer."
I spoke to him yesterday and he said he is starting to see some gains in the mileage.
Ill see if i can get him to post here with his experiences so far.

Hello all,

I am the lucky owner of the Vectra that my good man Phil grooved.

As he stated in his first post, the car feels 10 years newer, i felt like an amateur driver when i was first adjusting to the throttle due to it being so responsive at the lightest of touches.

I spend a fair amount of time on the road due to my profession but these are all short journeys often around towns, a lot of start stopping so not very fuel consumption friendly.

It took around 4 weeks to see a real benefit in the mileage, and recently ive managed to get away with around £20 a week instead of the previous £20 every 3-4 days.

Around windey country roads i used to be constantly shifting up and down from 5th and 4th gear, now i can leave it in 5th and it picks up the slack without complaint.

As you can see from the emissions results there is a significant drop.

The 1st was from my MOT in February and the 2nd from May.

When i asked the mechanic for the emissions test and showed him the original results he said they were low and wont go any lower, to which i replied 'we will see' and we did, and i recognised that surprised look on his face from my first experience of driving the car after it had been grooved.
He was very interested as i explained the mod, as many are when they have some evidence to go by, that's the problem with us Brits, we don't believe something even if it makes complete sense until we see it with our own eyes.

Thanks Phil and thanks Gadget man.

Wow, great testimony and great job Phil! :) Congratulations from across the pond.

This the way to do it folks. There's nothing better than when both the Gadgetman and the customer give the results.

Isn't this neat stuff?

Hey there Phil and Mescalito!

Congratulations on your gains. I have an official request.

Ever hear the phrase "Every picture tells a story (don't it!)." If you have copies of these reports, it would be REAL nice to see them in your post reporting the emissions.

Besides, I'm curious as to what data the look for in Great Britain...

Hi, get your friend to join the forum, if he posts here everyone can learn/help out.
Do you mean Mitsubishi gallant? Or is that what opal call a vectra in Europe?
