I'm still trying to figure out the parameters that occur to make the computer switch to closed loop. After 100 km since the last scan hook-up, I hooked it up again, with the engine not quite up to full operating temp, and the closed loop was on. Only went 10 Km, shut it down, and after 3o minutes, headed home. The scanner was hooked up, but showed open loop for the first 5 kms before closed loop came on. I was not paying close attention to the actual engine temp.
So Ron, are these particular engines non-controlable when in open loop? Or are the pre-determined ECU map determined by the TPS and or MAP sensors when in open loop? I will be putting on the MAPster, and see what changes in the sensor readings.
