I recently Grooved a TB for a nice guy named Jose, who owns an '88 Honda CRX. Jose's CRX is powered by a 1990 Acura B18A1 engine. Jose sent a spare Acura TB to me, I Grooved it, and also did epoxy work on the IAC and another unused port. Jose says he has not yet installed the Groovy TB shown here, but will soon. I've urged him to report back w/ results. I told him I think his CRX has potential for high MPG results.
So, while we wait for Jose's feedback, here are some pics of the Groove job. You can see the epoxy fill in one unused bypass port, and the IAC port is filled and drilled for the restriction. I like to do these kinds of epoxy port work to aid smoother airflow into the Groove, and the engine too.
