Hello felow groovers, i just got my personal lisc kit and did my first groove. My test vehicle was a 96 legacy 2.2L awd auto trans. The current mods besides tje groove are:
2.5" catback exhaust
Pod filter
Dodge neon coil
.065 plug gap
Pcv vac line capped
40/42 tire psi
Air dam
Side skirts
Knock sensor relocation
Grill blockers
With all that i was averaging 33.3 literally every trip i hypermile like a machine
I am now destroying that average and my new trip average is 38.5 and that was with zero highway. I know its not tje prettiest or straightest groove, i almost filled it and started over but i wanted to see for myself how it behaved...

First, you can put your pics into the body of the message very easily. Simply attach the file. Once complete, put your cursor in the message where you want the pic to appear and click INSERT next to the listed attachment.

Now, on to the more important stuff.

You will find the results improve when you get it closer to the natural idle position. It is also a more stable location from which to cut!

But look at the results already!

Tell me, Travis...

Does a Little Groove make a BIG difference!

Ill have to have the wife help me w that pic, im relatively inexperienced with computers and such.. Also uploaded from a phone since thats where the pic is stored so i dont have a "curser"

After the throttle stop was adjusted 1.5 turns the groove is a touch closer to the throttle plate but it could deff be closer, i ended up to sharp of an angle twords the middle for sure. But indeed a little groove does make a big difference !
Apparently even a half ass one lol

Going to do some tinkering today and may fill the groove and try again. I can deff hear the change in intake sound when im in the groove, now i just gotta make it happen a few degrees of throttle position sooner. And ive got a new o2 sensor coming for it soon

Update on my groove, i have filled/re grooved my throttle body to get a bit more practice and see the effects of moving it closer to the plate/idle.

Also i have replaced my +100k o2 sensor.

And here is a pic of the iac modification i did reducing hose from 3/4 to 1/8"

Mpg is now 43 up fro 38.5
