Hey Todd, here's an idle ecu-relearn procedure you can try; know someone who worked for toyota and honda; apparently this is how they do it to new cars straight out of the factory:
1a. Disconnect both negative & positive from battery; negative first; touch negative & positive together for 5 seconds (don't make contact w/ battery terminals!)
OR:
1b. Disconnect only negative from battery; put key in ignition and turn to ON; leave key that position for 20-30 seconds
---
2. Reconnect battery; start engine; let engine idle until at least 150 F; then shut off engine 5 min.
3. Start-up engine; engage parking-brake; shift thru all gears stationary; turn a/c on max for 2 min; then turn a/c off for 2 min; shut off engine for 5 min.
4. next start-up you're good to go
---
obviously there's more adaptations acquired and ecu parameters set throughout the following 12 - 30 drive cycles (depending on make). This is strictly for optimal idle-relearn following ecu-reset.
