Checked the MPG after 88 miles. It was 16. I did turn the chip up a little bit during those miles

Refresh our memory, please: what was it before the groove, as well as after the groove but before the EFIE?

Hmmm.
Is the engine direct or port injected?
That was the issue when I grooved a Titan. And it had a weird PCV/breather system and intake tube with some sort of resonator chamber on it.
Howzabout some pics?

It is port injected. The pcv I routed through the catch can and down to the slipstream so the draft can vent it. So now the only functional vacuum lines after the throttle body is the brake booster and evap

Re-learns can be helpful...hopefully that's the case here.

Catch can - are you finding quite a bit of oil in it, or is it mostly water?
I'm of the opinion that the water vapour it's getting rid of HELPS combustion, mileage, power and emissions. I removed the setup I had on my PCV re-route and gained an MPG or two back. The oil it collected was negligible to nil, and the water smelled of gasoline, but nothing separated out when I let it rest.

It seems to be 50/50 water and oil. Maybe slightly more water. No gas smell. Wish I could remember how many miles this is. 200 maybe? Before I removed it from the intake, it caught a TON of oil.

Yeah, it’s best that gunk gets out of the engine.
How much oil do you end up adding between changes?

Is the cooling system in good shape, recently maintained? Does the engine get up to the proper temp and stay there?

Ive never had to add any oil in the last 2 years I owned it. I don’t go more than 3k miles on a change either. Coolant is good. Warms up quickly and stays there

It's good you're not burning oil.
You're 100% sure the computer sees closed loop?
