Hi

Grooved this truck tonight, it tooked about 1 hour to do everything is easy to get at. It was doing about 14.5L/100Km it is also a motor that runs on 4 cyl with driving downhill or coasting to a stop (it did for me when I drove it home to do mod) I feel that this engine should perform with groove simply because these trucks are to heavy to perform properly in 4 cyl mode.

Hi Aaron!

Well, for starters, it has been a while since my last post. Things have been quiet here in Northern Michigan. All that aside and in response to this 2007 Avalanche. This 5.3 uses "Active Fuel Management". When the computer senses reduction in power need, it basically shuts down valve lifters and injectors to conserve fuel. The affected cylinders are still lubricated though. This technology is used on more than just truck engines - Impala's with the 3.9 also. This technology should not adversely affect groove. Keep us posted Aaron!
