Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah, by the time I was able to retrieve all my personal items the salvage people already had her up for auction. I was allowed to take anything that didn’t require tools to remove. I saved an amp and a subwoofer, my personal junk and that is about it.

It most certainly was tire pressure related failure. I checked the pressure the night before and that tire was low at 28 psi. I normally keep it at 32. I pumped it up to 32 and left in the morning. I must have picked up a nail.

Agreed. There are no failures, only lessons. Of the 4 TB Groove’s I’ve done, the Batmobile had the greatest performance boost. I’m still amazed at how well she responded! I was looking forward to pushing the envelope a bit more. Oh, well, c’est la vie!

The good news is I can concentrate on the truck. I have updates to report. In the meantime and in memoriam:

I have no idea why the pic is upside down! I tried a few time to fix it.

Andrew, that was a gorgeous Vette! IT sucks what happened, but you made it, that's what counts. Yeah, I guessed it was tire pressure...

Remember my analogy of the German V2 program. They had crashes just like you did (and made craters in London and Antwerp, too!). but that program ultimately put Neil Armstrong on the Moon.

(voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi...) "Andrew, you have the Secret of the Groove. Use it again, and May the Force be With You!"

Hey, Claudio!

Been a long time! I miss my ride!

Been super busy, but still trying to work on the performance/mpg saga on the truck. Looks like some new products hitting. I just sent for IXR for my Sierra. The exhaust still smells sweet, thanks to Ron (RIP), but never made it above 15 mpg - still, not bad for 35" tires. Hoping the IXR's will help. I'll update on the 2018 Sierra thread/post with a review.
