I was checking some video's on Youtube and found several on this generator, the author had indicated he was running premium fuel in it... "?!"

Sure enough manufacturer says premium fuel.

So now I am running a 1 gallon test with premium fuel... about an hour 15 into it right now.

Checked the exhaust temperature, you'll notice up above on the regular fuel it was 363F,

with the premium fuel the exhaust temperature is as high as 410F, current temperature of approx. 403F.

Made sure I checked it from the same angle as the previous run...

Regardless of these test results, I'm going back to regular fuel!

Back with more later. ( might be a 2 day event, don't want to annoy the neighbors too much.) :)

In a way... Gadgetman kinda fits...

I'm a garage tinkerer with a particular set of skills...

Computer technology - 22 years, photography - 9 years, live sound - 8 years, videography - 3 years

Along with everything that I do, there was a need for additional skills to support them.

So in order to market some of the things that I do required marketing products, ie: web sites and graphics, manipulating photographs, etc.

Short story short.... I use Microsoft Powerpoint along with existing graphics and create new graphics.

Had them printed on-line...

Things ya can do with graphics

Completed the test run today with the 92 octane fuel.

at the completion of the test, 4 hours 25 minutes on 1 gallon of 92 octane fuel.

So an increase of 8 minutes using 92 octane over 87 octane and an exhaust temperature increase of 40F.
92 octane - 17 hours 40 minutes on 4 gallons
87 octane - 17 hours 8 minutes on 4 gallons.

Unfortunately there was no way to determine the engine rpm but it seemed that with the 92 octane it was running at a higher rpm than with the 87 octane.
