Hi Folks

As of Jan 1 2013 here in Ontario we have a new type of e-testing by plugging in the OBDII port than it takes or gets the vechile info and checks the different sensors parameters to see if emissions are okay it will only allow a 1.5 times tolerant as before by tailpipe it was 4 times tolerant. So my question is will the groove make trouble for me as there a bit of different behaviour going on inside the engines, has anybody run into this type of e-testing or is this something completly new. I need input from you guys out.

Thanks Aaron

This is the testing they are doing in Washington State.

Essentially they are checking the ECU status. If the ECU says everything is okay, you pass.

The Groove does NOT affect the ECU when it comes to testing.

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 5.3L vortec, passed no problems.

Most of the US states have adopted that style of emissions testing. Since the Groove is used throughout the US, and there haven't been many reported problems (most of the reported problems were stemming from other hard issues), it is probably safe to say you are golden! B)
