TOPIC: Forum Postings & Categories

Just a reminder to all Posters in the Forum--

Ron would sometimes remind us to remember which Topic Category we were putting forum posts into- reason being that, later on, as posts drop off the Forum front page they still exist in the Index, the back room archive of this Forum. Index is our reference Library of info from all of us in the field. Guys, there are 100's of past postings in there, and LOTS of very valuable information too!!

So if we don't remember to put posts in the most relevant category, the category box at the top of the page where you write has a drop down menu. Click that down button it opens up the menu. Ron also chided us to include yr, make, model, engine size and country, to make our posts that much more relevant.

Later on, months/years later when you want to find that great post about something you read that could REALLY help you on THIS Groove job--having put it in the relevant category can really save time and frustration. I'm constantly inviting newbies to check out that Index, it has stuff Ron never included in training materials, it's priceless!!

you never know who you are going to help later with today's post, even yourself!
