This modification is for all subaru engines that utilize a 4cyl with a 4 output single coil mounted to intake manifold.
That covers most 90's models and some others.

The oem subaru coil is 24k volts
A dodge neon coil 1999 works is 30k volts
The msd red version is 34k volts
Accel, vms and similar should also be higher output 33-34k

It is almost a direct fit. 2 of the 4 bolt holes on manifold line up perfectly, i only used 2 bolts to mount mine and a few washers to save needing shorter bolt. Other than that only thing needed is to swap pigtails for harness conection. Some use the subaru harness on tje dodge coil. I chose to use the dodge coil on subaru harness this way i can swap dodge fitment w no need to wire everytime. I currently have the oem neon coil and set my gap too .065 oem is .035-.040
The gains are impressive so far ive had the coil for a while now and just recently upped the gap. The gap really helped mpg and power wise, but the coil alone made a huge improvement in all areas, idel , cruise, wot, smoothness, it was night and day !

I will be soon adding the vms coil and upping the gap more :-)
Ive had it over 35mpg and average 33.2

If you're over 25 then you're doing really great, Travis! And to get over 35? That is indeed impressive mileage gains!
I look forward to hearing more of your exploits!
