Hi Tor- I used a set of Pulstar plugs in my '85 Subie 1.8L engine, years back before I did my Plasma build. Pulstar's are, of course the companion product to Direct Hits. I believe Direct Hits came out first on the market.
Anyway the Pulstar's worked pretty good for awhile, but started misfiring in maybe 8 months of light service. I never tried the Direct Hits, but I would give thumbs down on Pulstar's.

I'll testify to Tracy's superior knowledge of ignition components - he steered me towards my current choices for plugs&wires and they're performing just as well now after lots of miles as they did on day 1. Besides, the knowledge to DIY with the same results (or superior) is a lot less expensive in the long run over several vehicles/engines.

Ron - I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for an update from your install. How goes? as good as you had hoped or possibly better?
