It seems I'm on a Ford Focus PCV system marathon! This is a Great short video, this guy is a pro! He's diagnosing a PO171 error code for an early Ford Focus. Finds a bad PCV hose that has failed at the man. vac
port. Gives great backround info, then goes to a typical parts store, is in the aisle w/ the Dorman and Help! small parts. This guy does Exactly what a good Gaddgetman would do, finding the right part for the job, and demonstrates ability to improvise. I have gone through similar experiences many times. These small micellaneous parts rack sections are a Godsend to when you need to re-do vacuum or PCV hoses, or do custom work, like the PCV re-route mod. Also, it's useful to know that most parts stores will have bulk rolls of quality fuel injection, emissions, and heater hoses in the store, usually all sold by the foot.

IF I am doing a PCV re-route on any car, and need parts, I will usually wind up in front of these same type parts racks. IF you are in the parts store, take a moment to locate this section, it can help get the job done right, avoiding Goober-fixes! Real good general knowledge for Gadgetmen!
