Name is Hushton,
I talked with Ron on the phone a couple weeks ago about him coming over to Idaho to do some grooving.
Been reading through alot of the stuff on the website and like what I see.
Would like to join you all in at least a personal license but at this time can't afford to do it.
I run a construction company (area has about 200 people).
Used to be in Auto mechanic and repair.
Currently have a whole stable of vehicles. Some running, some need some work.
Oldest is my work horse van.
75 Dodge b300 with a 360.
Just changed out the engine to a lower mileage 360 out of a 73 motor home.
Changed the carb and intake from the edelbrock 1406 down to the intake that came with the motor home engine. A Holley 2 barrel 2210 carb and 2 barrel manifold.
Next in line would be my light hauling truck.
82 Chevy s-10 with 2.8l v6 and rochester progressive 2 barrel.
Have 2 87 Subarus (one is mine and one is my wifes) both are 1.8l Turbos.
Mine is slightly modified with some porting in the heads.
Both are MPFI systems.
Next would be my 91 Subaru Loyale with a SPFI 1.8l.
Next is a 94 legacy wagon with a 2.2l
And a 94 Cavalier with 2.2l
Both of these are MPFI.
Next is a 97 Subaru Impreza with a 2.2l MPFI.
And finally is a 98 Subaru Forester with the DOHC 2.5l MPFI.
Also have an 85 Subaru 1.8 carbed wagon that is being parted out.

Would like to offer my assistance for anyone on the board that might need some info.
Have access to repair info up to 2007 for alot of different vehicles and like the challence of being able to track down info.
Most of the info I have includes torque info and EGR and PVC diagrams and routing.

Looking forward to meeting Ron when we can get something set up over this way.

Hushton

Hi Hushton welcome to Gadgetmanland! :cheer:

Ya just Gotta get w/ Ron for a Personal Liscence or at least to have him Groove either/both your 87 Subies! I will confirm it works great on those, My buddy in Phoenix brought his 86turbo GL wagon to Ron shortly before I met Ron last year. Better throttle response and more power when turbo is working for sure!

Sounds like you like Subaru's!

I have an '85 GL wagon like the one you're parting out, I Grooved it last year and am in process of serious ignition upgrades on it now. Groove and better Ignition really have woke it up! :woohoo:

I'm sure you can add a lot to our discussions on here. LOts of smart folks here. I personally value input from experienced folks like you.

So I'll be first to Welcome you, Hushton!

My phone# is 775-544-7692 if I can ever be of help.
