I'm Matthew from Georgia. I'm the father of 4 amazing boys. Husband to a wonderful woman who puts up with me. I have been creeping the Gadgetman videos and testimonies for a while and finally bit the bullet and just received my groovy TB from Tracy. I have a 2003 F250 with a 5.4 that will get groovy first. If I like what I see I will more than likely be doing my Yukon and my son's Silverado also. I'm looking forward to hope this works out.

Welcome! And thank YOU for introducing yourself. Plus one karma for good luck and good old-fashioned Southern courtesy
Ford's 5.4L-equipped vehicles generally respond well (and quickly) to the Groove, but if you have troubles, we're here to help sort them out and hopefully resolve them.

in fact, Tracy and I have been trying to help a gent in Texas with an earlier F150, and what we've come up with may be applicable to yours as well. If it is, and you can show him it works, that would be a big help to a good number of the Ford 5.4L owner/drivers here.

OK- I got curious and looked this F250 up on RockAuto.

Matthew, sir, if you have a scantool that clears codes and want to get a jumpstart on the mod I mentioned, go to
EGR, PCV, IAC delete for '98 Ford 5.4L - Groovy Forums
and take a look, then poke around under your hood.

Does GA have emissions testing and vehicle inspections?

Hi, Matt, Welcome to Gadgetman Land!!
We, and I, look forward to helping you, first with your F-150. You now see what the Groove (and the "extra" throttle shaping I did) looks like.
As Greg said we are working with another guy in Texas, who is kinda shy about coming on here. He has a '98 F150, pretty close to yours, ,
Greg and I are focusing in the EGR system for the Texas F150. and how to possibly modify it in a way favorable to overall performance.

You've sent Pics that I've seen of your 5.4L engine. I was saying to Greg last night that I'd like to see pics of all around the topside of your engine. Know, that pics are a BIG help in figuring various things out w/ engines and other stuff.
So, Matt, thanks for coming in and introducing yourself! Please do take time when you can, and start looking around in the various topic folders here, there is a LOT of good info to be had, though you do have to dig some!
IF you would be so kind to take some more pics of your engine, and underhood in general, please post those and further tech talk of your Ford, in the Ford section folder. This makes it easier for others to follow along later!
Welcome Matt!

Hello Matthew and GeraldC from another Georgian. Welcome to Gadgetman Land! There is alot of information on these forums, so much it can make your head spin. But Tracy, GregK and bunch of other Gadgetmen on here can help you sort it out. Im just outside Savannah myself and as far as I know the only emissions testing in GA is the 13 counties around ATL. Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale County

well, that's fun: Mike and Gerald are practically neighbours.
You two should meet and compare notes, and let Matt know where/when that's happening so he can stop by and sit in on your session if he's passing by.
