TOPIC: Question on Ford escort

I have a question. Has anybody groove a Ford Escort. I did my sons and he seems to have Lost gas mileage. Wondering if anybody has any experience with those?
Been real excited about everything Other than that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim, reset the ecu and it should start showing some gain.If you have access to a scanner post the fuel trims and I can help more. You might have a vaccum leak or lazy o2s.


The groove enhances slight existing problems you wouldnt notice till grooved.
The scanner is a tool you need to get if your gonna do this as a business.The more you do the better youll get with the scanner to determine if any problems exist.

More data needs to be supplied before we can help with diagnostics.

If it was the composite throttle assembly then you have likely cut through in a spot or two that went unnoticed. The areas in question are into the idle air pathway, and two hollows that extend above The Groove.


The FIRST thing to do when experiencing a loss in mileage for all newcomers to the tech is to check your work. Do this first!
