Bill used to run parts for Napa a few years back and had to calculate his mileage. He knew he was getting 17mpg.
This customer had spark plugs giving him trouble after 100k miles, and decided to have a shop replace them because with this sideways v6, the intake manifold has to come off to get to the 3 plugs near firewall. So that helped to increase his potential benefit because the manifold gasket is now new too!
He reported back to me with his latest mileage math after a week or so driving his grooved ride and said he had gained over 23% and now averages 21+mpgs.
It was pitch black in the car around 9:30pm when doing the test drive, so i couldn't get a video or pull out my camera by the time he had reacted to the power! I will follow up with him and see if i can get a video response soon.
You should have seen the guy smile and say "now that's power!" He also took a wiff of his tailpipe and said "That's cleaner than I've ever smelled on this car".
The last time he hooked a trailer to it, he was bothered by the exhaust, but not anymore ?
Be aware of 2 weak spots with this electronic throttle body. 1 spot near electronic components, the other on the opposite side. This throttle also has a useless half circle shape metal screen mesh that's part of the gasket, I didn't get a picture but i used wire snips to carefully cut it out.
The page won't let me add pictures into my text so there is a picture below is of pcv valve capped off, and a pic of the weak spots you can see the grey color from the JB-Kwik. This customer also has 02 sensor issues that he is planning on fixing so ill be updating the newest results!
