Dont feel inclined to start messing with something that intrusive for fear of taking something that works well and maybe making problems.
No vac leaks or any other problems I know of so will accept the MPG I have now for the smooth and dependable ride which I need for work.
Spent many hours working on the Mazda because it had over 250k when first grooved and needed some upgrades for longevity.
Spent so many hours on it that a friend in frustration urged me to get another vehicle. They were tired and concerned about all the time under the hood I spent.
Dont want to mess with a good thing that I have now.
Did get a letter from KIA about an ECU upgrade to prevent bearing wear and wondering if this has any connection to the baffles.
Dont see how the two could be connected but what little I know.
Since BMW owners seem to be dealing with this for preventive maintenance as you stated, am wondering if the KIA ECU upgrade is connected to this problem.
